This is a basic differential cover. It is a one piece plate steel cover bent eight ways, way hard to hurt in .375 (3/8"). The ring is .5" (1/2") thick. The fill plug is a generous 1" ID for easy fill and oil level check...... it is located 1" above where the factory "should" have put it.... in a stock vehicle to account for pinion adjustment. One of the reasons it is so hard to hurt, is that it is manufactured out of A50 plate steel...... thats 50,000 PSI tensile strength. After welding, the mounting surface is machined absolutely flat for a perfect fit!
